Yelling
Tears
No time for goodbyes
No last hug
No last kiss
Just gut wrenching pain…
Here one minute…
Gone the next…
Shock
Heartache
Grief
Fear
First Together
Then Suddenly Torn Apart…
Alone.
All alone…
Except for my daughter sitting in the back seat
Three years old and severely disabled
Unaware of what had just happened
but tearful from all the yelling.
Her daddy was suddenly gone.
A man whom she depended on
for far more
than most other children depend upon their fathers…
Without a lifetime of help, she could not survive…
Unable to walk, talk, or eat on her own…
She has seizures every day,
but has known his unending love and patience
and his strong arms lifting her and carrying her.
Will she know that he is gone?
I believe she will….
This is a continuing story based on good friends of author Sue Thomson, as she delves into the effects of deportation and the emotional ramifications which are usually not experienced or felt by many of us in the United States. The story is written from a wife’s perspective. Sue Thomson has set up a Go Fund Me page to help this beautiful family, as they sort out their future and care for their little girl’s medical needs. Please consider making a donation small or large. https://www.gofundme.com/mellynas-fund-to-get-her-dad-back
